Concrete design by Jonas Bohlin, 1981.
Concrete was made in an edition of 100 copies. Jonas Bohlin received “Excellent Swedish Form” for the chair “Concrete” in 1983. Jonas Bohlin’s degree project the concrete chair “Concrete” was presented at Konstfack’s exhibition for graduating students in 1981. Concrete can be interpreted as a typical time expression of what became the 1980s characteristic, a freedom from the functional requirements that have characterized the furniture design of previous decades.
